LPC, EMDR Trained
Miriam is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Alabama in 2020. Her primary areas of focus include complex trauma and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Miriam approaches therapy from a holistic and client-centered perspective, emphasizing collaboration between client and therapist to identify meaningful goals and an individualized course of treatment. She has a particular interest in the mind-body connection and often integrates somatic and mindfulness-based techniques into sessions. This may include helping clients build awareness of physical sensations, nervous system responses, and patterns held in the body, with the goal of fostering regulation, safety, and deeper emotional insight.
Miriam’s ultimate goal as a therapist is to provide a warm, supportive, and safe space where clients can work toward therapeutic goals and make empowering decisions in their lives. She values authenticity and encourages clients to show up as their genuine selves throughout the therapeutic process.
Miriam has a special interest in working with adults, though she has experience supporting clients across the lifespan.
